black and white top

Remember that fabric that Dave bought me?


I decided to use them before my pips to try out working with a Jelly Roll. 
It was not easy to find the right pattern since I didnt keep them facing the same way when cutting. This led to the lights and darks being in the wrong spots
sewn together

now to add some colour...

maybe a bit more black and white...

The quilt pattern 

mine doesnt look much like it because this calls for a jelly roll(40 strips) and I had only 1/2 that. so its a lap quilt


Now to figure out the back and quilt it. 
Its 47x53

ps- can you tell which pictures I took at night?

I think it is terrific! Great choice of pattern for the fabrics. I like lap quilt size - you can show off your quilt on your couch, a chair, rocker, folded on a bench. A large quilt can only be on a bed. Nice job.

Wonderful quilt! The black and white fabric is so dramatic and with just the touch of color in the border it turned out amazing!
