Andrea's visit

my best friend from Ontario finally came to visit for the first time.
We have been in NC for 4.5 years already. wow- time goes fast!

She mostly just blended into our lives but we did do a few trips with her in tow.

Christmas 2012

Every other year we head to Canada for Christmas. This was not one of those years.

This year we expected to be alone at Christmas. Just us and the kids.

BUT

at the last minute my parents and sisters were able to drive out to join us. I did a mad cleaning to get ready for them!

They arrived on Sunday night (23rd) about 6 pm and kept an eye on the weather in Ontario.
Tuesday night (25) they left around 6:45 pm to drive the 12 hours home before the storm arrived.

We had a wonderful short visit with them (and I still havent cleaned up after them!)

Dave's Parents visit

Dave's parents came for a 4 day visit. It was a nice long weekend mostly spent at home.

Dave's dad likes to do projects. This time he took the doors off the bathroom cupboards and sanded them all down. There were at least 4 colours on the doors!

Now I just need to sand and prep around the doors, then Paint!

It was a wonderful visit.

Maternal instincts

ok- silly title.

My parents (Zeke's maternal grandparents) came for a short visit on the way home from Florida. 

They were here for 2 nights (one day spent with us)

During that time they got to play outside with Zekes. My dad (Pake - pronounced Pa-ka) taught Zeke a different use for the slide as well as how to properly go down it.

hehe- look at dad- he was into this!

They spoiled Zeke and let him sit on their lap during lunch...

but later Zeke shared his animal crackers.
