I obviously couldn't make it to Christine and Ryan's baby shower for one of my friends. She doesnt know what she is having but has a nursery theme of "barnyard"
I went online to see what the bedding would look like and then I went to see if I could get fabric that matched.
I think I was successful. Its not exactly the same but I think its close. I had one of my local friends place the order with Fabric.com for the panel and a yard of the print. I had all the rest at home. The yellow and peach were precuts by a LQS (local quilt shop) that is now out of business. I had an issue that they were cut with the V. it was kinda annoying. Its bad enough when I dont cut it true!
I posted this mystery quilt after asking for some input on what design to do.
so I finished it and sent it off the the friend who was hosting the shower.
here are some of the finished pictures and pictures of her opening it at the shower
Without the binding:
close up of some of the quilting. I hand quilted around ALL the circles on the panel.
Signed with initials and year:
I hid 3 little hearts on the front. I wonder if Christine saw them?
Finished!
This is how the back looks like with the circle quilting

Ok, that is the cutest thing I've ever seen. You did a GREAT job on it!!
Debbie, it's gorgeous!!
I'm really impressed with the hand quilting. It looks like it's a lot of work. The quilt is really cute!
@Dallas- the hand quilting is a lot of work- but I like it. It's easy to take with me when I go volunteering or watching tv with Dave.
Also- Im still a bit scared of doing more than straight line quilting on my machine!
Wonderful job with the handquilting! A very cute quilt - front and back. Well done.
Thanks so much Debbie for the surprise! It's gorgeous!
lol, of course Christine HADN'T noticed the hearts. And just moments ago she pulled it out so we could find them.
Thanks again for such an amazing present!
That is so cute!!!
